Magnesium sulphate is an inorganic chemical compound - a salt of sulfuric acid and magnesium. It is also known as Epsom salt (bitter salt, English salt, Epoonian salt, Epsomit, Epsom salt) - this name came from the town of Epsom in central England, where this compound was obtained by evaporation of mineral water. Appearance this substance resembles ordinary table salt (sodium chloride), however, has a bitter taste (hence the name bitter salt), has no odor and has a pH neutral for the skin.
