Sodium metabisulphite in the disinfection of wine and beer equipment
Dosage: 20-30g of substance per 1 L of water (2-3% solution).
Application: decontamination and sterilization of various wine devices (balloons, bottles, containers, corks, hoses, etc.). In order to obtain a good quality wine, which can be aged, it should be prepared in clean and sterile (sanitized) conditions. To disinfect the necessary equipment, prepare a solution of sodium metabisulfite just before use, because it is unstable and after rinsing it is not re-usable. The disinfectant properties are particularly fumes, so when disinfecting the balloons and bottles, pour the solution into them and seal them for 5-15 minutes.
Other uses of sodium metabisulfite:
production, photographic industry, production of textiles, skins and furs, plastics and rubber, paper pulp and paper products, furniture, chemical water purifiers, fiber production, as an addition to cement, in chemicals for agriculture, in fertilizers.
