This substance is in the form of white crystals well soluble in water. The aqueous solution is characterized by a strongly alkaline reaction &#8211; the pH of a 1% solution is 11.9. Sodium phosphate occurs in the form of a hydrate (most often as a twelve hydrate, rarely as a tenhydrate).<\/p>\n<p>Sodium phosphate is used to precipitate other metal phosphates, to produce chemicals for softening water, as a regulator of acidity and as a substance enriching products in phosphorus.
