Pyrosulfite is a substance commonly known and used in viticulture for the preservation and stabilization (i.e. the so-called sulphurization) of wines, juices, meads and musts. It has disinfecting and sterilizing properties, and also effectively prevents the growth of mold and bacteria.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Dosage: 20-30g of substance per 1 L of water (2-3% solution).<\/p>\n
Application: decontamination and sterilization of various wine devices (balloons, bottles, containers, corks, hoses, etc.). In order to obtain a good quality wine, which can be aged, it should be prepared in clean and sterile (sanitized) conditions. To disinfect the necessary equipment, prepare a solution of sodium metabisulfite just before use, because it is unstable and after rinsing it is not re-usable. The disinfectant properties are particularly fumes, so when disinfecting the balloons and bottles, pour the solution into them and seal them for 5-15 minutes.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
