Application
Sodium chloride is used in the glass industry and tanning as well as for maintenance. It is a raw material for obtaining hydrochloric acid, sodium, chlorine, sodium hydroxide and sodium carbonate (soda). It is also used to melt ice and snow on streets and pavements, because the water and sodium chloride solution has a very low freezing point.
Sodium chloride is used in spectroscopy and refrigeration (with ice it forms a cooling mixture – the temperature of this solution can be up to 21.5 ° C).
