Magnesium sulphate is an inorganic chemical compound – a salt of sulfuric acid and magnesium. It is also known as Epsom salt (bitter salt, English salt, Epoonian salt, Epsomit, Epsom salt) – this name came from the town of Epsom in central England, where this compound was obtained by evaporation of mineral water.
