Used, among others for extinguishing media, dyes and also as a simple fertilizer (especially in China, although it is replaced there by urea due to lower quality and instability). It is also used in the manufacture of ceramics, plastics and rubber, when tanning hides and making catalysts. It is also used to obtain other ammonium compounds.
