Name: Sodium percarbonate
Synonyms: Sodium percarbonate, oxygen bleach, disodium carbonate, compound with hydrogen peroxide (2: 3)
Chemical formula: Na2CO3 x 1.5H2O2
Sodium percarbonate has a strong oxidizing properties - thanks to a chemical reaction taking place in water (resulting in the formation of hydrogen peroxide, in particular: oxygen, water and sodium carbonate), we obtain a cleaning and bleaching effect, eg cleaning or washing.
As a result of the decomposition of sodium bicarbonate, hydrogen peroxide is formed in water. This chemical reaction is used by almost all companies producing washing powders, cleaning preparations and dishwashing tablets.
For washing, add 2 tablespoons sodium percarbonate, so that white and light fabrics will not be yellowing or gray.
Sodium percarbonate removes difficult deposits and stains, including with coffee, tea, wine, vegetables.
To get the best effect:
set the washing temperature to at least 40 ° C or soak the fabric for several hours in a solution of a few tablespoons of sodium percarbonate dissolved in 3-5 liters of warm water and then wash in the washing machine.
Warning! Sodium percarbonate brightens colors - you can use it for fabrics that do not lose color. Do not use it for washing silk and wool.
Sodium percarbonate works well in cleaning stains and dirt from the surface. Sodium peroxide solution (1 tablespoon per 1 liter of warm water) we can clean curtains, white clothes, carpets, curtains.
