Sodium nitrate. Sodium salt sprayer
Sodium nitrate
Sodium nitrate occurs naturally as a nitrite mineral (nitrite, Chilean nitrate, sodium nitrate).
The name nitronatryt is formed from the chemical composition of the mineral: Latin. nitrogenium = nitrogen, and natrium = sodium.
Occurs in dry and hot areas, as it is easily soluble in water. It is formed in the evaporation process, which results in salt deposits.
Usually found in the company of halite, anhydrite and gypsum. Occurs in compact, granular clusters, it also forms air raids and efflorescence.
